E-Man has recently turned 3. It wasn’t until the last few months that he would sit through a whole book. This was quite different from Honey Girl who would sit through book after book at 6 months old. I wasn’t sure how to handle this at first. There was no making him sit still. We searched far and wide. I so badly wanted him to love books as much as I do but didn’t know how to make that happen. In my early years I remember knowing my dad was from Mexico but that was about it. We had never known the language or anything of our heritage. When I was 10 years old my family packed up and moved to Mexico for two plus years. At the time, it was hard being away from family and all we ever had known, but now, I can look back and see what a beautiful experience it was and how fortunate we were to be immersed in a different culture.

We LOVE Dr. Seuss in our house! We love the rhymes, the silliness, and the oddness of it all. We started collecting books when we first learned I was expecting with our Honey-girl. Now, at age 6 she shares my love for the tongue twisting fun that each story brings. Along with all the words that make a perfect amount of no sense at all.
Today, on March 2nd, the country celebrates the delightful stories Dr. Seuss has left us. What other way can you celebrate this great author than to read! And another great reason to bring you one of our favorite things… DR. SEUSS BOOKS!
