A Tidy Boy: the Good, the Bad, and the Cute

Standard

Our Little Man is full of a big personality!  It’s always entertaining to see what he’ll do next.  And part of that dynamite personality involves cleanliness and order. He often likes to have his hands cleaned between bites, and I’m proud of the way he picks up his toys!

This character trait can be helpful or annoying, but it’s always cute!

Tonight, within 10 minutes, he showed me both sides.

Helpful and Cute:
Walking around with his straw-cup, he finished drinking his milk.  So of course, he started to set it down on his high-chair tray, then stopped himself!
He closed the lid.  Then began to set it on the tray, and stopped himself again!
He walked around to the other side to the cup-holder on his tray, and put it there.

Annoying and Cute:
Soon after putting his cup in the appropriate place with the lid closed, he pulled the step-stool up to that junk-drawer in the kitchen.
Then one at a time, he handed me each item from the junk drawer.
When that task was complete, he went to the pile that I made and handed me each of the items, one at a time, again.
Haha!  I could’ve done without that, but now the drawer is reorganized, and he made his Mommy laugh!

joy:  Witnessing the thoughtfulness and ingenuity of my 19 month-old!
